Youssarian is the brother of the dominate male of the Whiskers, Zaphod, and the former dominate male of the Whiskers.He got a scar above his eye from a big fight with Zaphod but others think that as a pup he was dropped on the head after being picked up by hawk, and somehow, survived. That is thought to be the reason of his unusual behavior. He has mated with some females from the Whiskers' rivals, the Lazuli. He is infamous for forcing burrow moves while babysitting the pups, which resulted in the death of Mozart's pup, Sparkle. A year later Yossarain,Zarathustra and a Young Ones males join the Lazuli group but a Lazuli males came back and attack the three males. The Young Ones male was killed, Yossarain disappeared and Zarathustra return to the Whiskers.
