When the Kalahari Meerkat Project first started in 1993 the Drie Doring was one of the first wild groups to be habituated. In November 1993 Mabili was born. Mabili took dominant female in the group. She was dominant female from 1995 to December 2005. In her 10 year as dominant female,she had 22 suriving litter and 79 surving pups. One of Mabili son, Gazebo is dominant Male of the Frisky as of today. In 2006 Makonkie took dominant female. The group was lead by Makonkie and Osprey(a lazuli male). In early 2007 Osprey die. Drie Doring male acted as dominant female next to Makonkie. In fall of 2008 Makonkie was killed and her daughter Mist took dominant. Mist and her brother Thor was dominance. Mist gave birth to 3 pups in December.

- Mabili long term dominant female of the Drie Doring. Mabili was dominant female for 10 year. She died in 2005.
- Makonkie second dominant female of the Drie Doring. She was dominant female for almost 3 years. But sadly she died in 2008.
- Osprey wasn't born in Drie Doring but was long term dominant male of the group.
