Bagpus was born in the Zappa Mob on February 3, 2003 along with his littermates Pootle , Maya , Mr. Ben, and Lucy Liu. They were the offspring of Elf, a subordinate female, and one of Bettik’s daughters she birthed while herself a subordinate at the Elveera. Bettik was not pregnant at the time, so she allowed the pups to live. At the time the group only numbered three adults and three older pups, but all five survived their first month. In late March Bettik aborted, and did not become pregnant again until August. She quickly evicted Elf, who was last seen around the beginning of September. Only days later Bettik gave birth to Nataka, Tusker, Baridi, and Tatu. She would quickly become pregnant again and give birth to Cat Cat, Ta Phin, Seo Mi Ti, and VZZP016 (which was predated shortly after emergence) in late November. Bagpus and his siblings reached their first birthday in February 2004 and shortly afterwards Bettik gave birth to Dr. Kimble, Windgat, Asjas, Bliksem, and VZZP021 (which went missing after a month). By this time Bagpus was able to help out with the group, from babysitting the pups to sentry duty. Like most males, he also began roving as well. In late February, his sister Maya had become pregnant, but she aborted in March. Things settled down for several months, until Bagpus lost all his sisters in the same day in September. Pootle was discovered dead on the main road, and Maya and Lucy Liu were last seen after having been evicted. A week later Bagpus was seen roving at the Young Ones. He did not return to the group following this and was ultimately last seen in October.
