One of Mabili son, Gazebo is dominant Male of the Frisky as of today. In 2006 Makonkie took dominant female. The group was lead by Makonkie and Osprey(a lazuli male). In early 2007 Osprey die. Drie Doring male acted as dominant female next to Makonkie. In fall of 2008 Makonkie was killed and her daughter Mist took dominant. Mist and her brother Thor was dominance. 	The '''Kalahari Meerkat Project''' was started in 1993 when researcher Tim Clutton-Brock wanted to do a study on meerkats. He pick two places to study the meerkats. The first place was Gemsbok National Park and the other was a ranch which would later become the Kuruman River Reserve. Gemsbok National Park was was more flat ground, to the hills and dune at the ranch. Study at Gemsbok went well until a drought came and many of the groups were lost. Tim and his team finally left in 2001. Study at the ranch went much slower but soon the studing of the meerkats get better. Research at the Ranch is still going on. Bettik became the Dominant female of the group, and was a tough and strong leader. Mac Drie Doring took up the position of Dominant male of the group. Bettik and Mac ruled the Zappa as the dominant leading pair, led them through battles with rival groups. ( on Meerkat Manor, the Zappa were titled " Fiesty Gang" always going in battles over territory with a group called the Whiskers, which was one of their reality characteristics making them unique from other groups. In some footages of Meerkat Manor,a group called the Young Ones played the Zappa, but some of the footages were played by the real Zappa mob.) Dominant male Mac died from disease and another male called Gluffs( who helped play Frank on Meerkat Manor) took over male dominance and became Bettik's partner. Both Bettik and Gluffs were then sadly taken by Disease, and Lola(VZZF042) who was possibly one of the daughters of Bettik, became dominant female of the Zappa, with Witnail as dominant male. Lola ruled the Zappa for three years, give birth to pups like Milla( VZZF051), Katesa (VZZF057), Dirty Harry( VZZM054)...etc... until her sister Punk(VZZF044) deposed her and took dominant female of the group. Punk led the Zappa until in 2008, she was taken by a Martial Eagle.During these times, the Zappa experienced changes of dominant males. Lola's daughter Milla took dominant female. Milla soon died and her littermate sister Katesa took dominant female.
